Rational Rose RealTime 7 Installation
The Rational Rose RealTime installation files are stored at the following location:
\\ni-filedat1-srv\exchange\AUTOMATION_R&D\SOFTWARE_ENGINEERING\Install\Machine_software\RoseRealTime
Run installation file:
\\ni-filedat1-srv\exchange\AUTOMATION_R&D\SOFTWARE_ENGINEERING\Install\Machine_software\RoseRealTime\7.0\CD\setup.exe
Note
After the restart of your system the License Key Administrator Wizard will be automatically displayed. The next chapter will describe how to handle the license stuff.
License Key Administrator Wizard
- Select: „Point to a Rational License Server to get my licenses“
- Hit Next.
Server Name
- The server name is ro-build4-srv.
- No other information is necessary.
- Hit Finish.
Environment variables
Is is important to add variable names ROSERT_HOME and ROSERT_HOST written in upper case
Patches and Runtime Updates
Every patch is located in a separate sub directory. A readme file is included in every patch in which the installation respectively the necessary steps are described.
All updates (patches) have to be applied (one by one) in following order:
(1) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1
(2) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix001Fix002Fix003Fix004
(3) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix005
(4) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix006
(5) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix007
(6) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix008
(7) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix009
(8) RoseRealTime7.0.0.1_iFix010
TargetRTS Update to 2.95.2 (GCC)
Rational Rose’s runtime library TargetRTS have to be updated for the usage with GCC 2.95.2.
