Install Rose RT

Warning

Guide says that License Key Administrator will automatically show up after restart. It didn't show up for me.

Failure

Rational Rose Realtime is unable to obtain license when patches aren't installed.

Patching Rational Rose RT like a pro

  • Follow the word document with installation instructions until you get to ratinal rose patching.
  • locate folder with Rational Rose RT patches on company network server
  • look up list of paches to apply in word guide

For every patch:

  • save your work, your windows will restart after each patch
  • run as admin:
    cmd
patchXYZ.msp /quiet /forcerestart

Note

If you loose track of which patch is installed, Run IBM Rational -> Rational Software Installed Product Information. It starts after few minutes of inactivity. There should be patch version listed.

Obtaining license in Nitra

  • Run IBM Rational -> IBM Rational License Key Administrator
  • Point to Rational License Server to get my licenses
  • Server Name: ro-build4-srv
  • Finish
